2003 Hyundai Santa Fe V6 3.5L Air Filter
The auto parts industry has incorrectly cataloged the replacement air filter for Hyundai Genuine 28113-26350.
The Hyundai Genuine 28113-26350 air filter is the only known part that will adequately fit a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe V6 3.5L.
Discount Auto Parts sells the Purloator A45387, Wal-Mart sells the FRAM CA9441, and the Lakeland Auto Mall Hyundai Parts Department sells the HYU 2811326350. All of these three parts are identical, and none are a viable replacement for the Hyundai Genuine part 28113-26350 as shown in the photo above.
It seems pretty obvious that a very simple, yet critical mistake was made
by either the person that created the specifications
for the
replacement part or the person that ultimately interpreted for the auto
parts industry. It appears that the measurement
taken on the original
was based on the plastic housing [9 9/16 by 6
11/16], and not the overall diameter, which includes the
outer rubber seal. This outer seal is critical in preventing dirt and
debris from entering the engine.
